Howdy! I'm a web designer & developer running my own business, Maddison Designs. I live in Melbourne, Australia.
I usually spend way too much time on my computer designing, coding, tweeting or just generally causing mischief. On the rare occasion I'm not online, you'll find me on the couch watching a movie.
Currently operating my own Graphic & Web Design studio, Maddison Designs, performing freelance and contract web & graphic design. I've worked for a range of clients from large corporates to small boutique design studios and independent businesses.
I design & develop beautiful websites and user interfaces. Not only that, I take careful consideration of web accessibility & usability. Custom WordPress development is a speciality.
I develop primarily using the LAMP Solution Stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) on top of xhtml, CSS, JavaScript & AJAX.
Autopeople is Australia’s first, full service, employment web site exclusively devoted to driving and promoting employment in the Australian automotive industry. They are Australia’s leading Automotive job site.
I was involved in the creation/redesign of website pages & elements as well as creating printed collateral & marketing material/brochures.
NABConnect is an internet portal for NAB’s corporate, business, small and medium enterprise customers. This application provides an electronic distribution of products and services over a single channel to business and corporate clients thus delivering an integrated solution that drives process efficiencies for clients and the bank.
I was responsible for the redesign of the NABConnect web application “look & feel” as well as development of application prototypes using xhtml & css markup with adherence to WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) guidelines.
The role of the Web Design team is to produce the graphical elements and designs for ANZ’s Intranet, ANZ.com, Esanda.com and National Bank (New Zealand) intranet. Print design was also completed for internal Business Unit communications & initiatives. The Web Design team consisted of team members in both Melbourne and Bangalore, India.
As well as creating web elements, site designs & printed collateral for our various sites & teams, I also managed our team of Bangalore designers.
The Intranet Solutions Centre was the core business unit for the ANZ’s Intranet. The Intranet is used by all internal/frontline staff within Australia, New Zealand & overseas. It contained approximately 120 applications as well as over 20,000 ‘brochure-ware’ pages.
I had a key role in developing project requirements & timeframes as well as updating stakeholder Project Managers on a weekly basis with the current development team status. I also tracked development status & issues, reviewed staff performance and helped develop numerous web applications.
