My work at Cimex focused mainly on youth portal need2know, produced and maintained for the then-Department for Education and Skills. The site’s purpose was to communicate important information to young people in a ‘non-Government’ way, using teen magazine styling and an approachable, trustworthy tone. As the site’s editor, I devised a style guide and set overall tone of voice for the project, commissioned and created content for online and mobile and sourced all imagery. Aimed at young professionals looking for an online community, Liv4now was one of the UK’s most successful lifestyle portals. As Trends Editor I produced weekly opinion columns, handled submissions from contributors and staff writers and wrote entertainment news and reviews.
